About Us
A Story of Hands-On Expertise
After an engineering apprenticeship at Sandvik UK, and years developing cutting tools for Rolls Royce, Leyland Cars and Westland Helicopters, Dave Perkins swapped aerospace for washing machines, literally.
In the early 1980s, whilst engineering and repairing family launderette equipment and in his spare time, Dave decided that he could leave corporate life and deliver a responsive, competent service in commercial laundry. With a van full of spares and a spare machine always ready to loan, DPCLR was born - grounded in logic, integrity, and hands-on engineering expertise.
From a single care home call-out to contracts with HMPs, MOD barracks, soft fruit farms, and nursing homes, the company has grown exponentially, whilst staying true to its roots.
